We are constantly reviewing the updated Government guidance and working with our partners across Norfolk and the UK, to develop detailed and rigorous plans for reopening safely and responsibly. These plans focus on the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and local communities.
Visiting the Country Park
Car Parks are open daily from 6am - 9pm with car parking charges in place, in addition the toilet facilities at the Visitor Centre are also open from 8.30am-5.30pm. The toilets are cleaned frequently as per the guidelines and sanitising stations are in place. The Play Area in the Country Park is now open.
For further information on car parking charges please see Parking at Sandringham.
If required we may need to restrict the numbers of cars and visitors to protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff. Please see our guidance on exercising safely in the Country Park.
Visiting the House & Gardens
The House and Gardens are open on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays only until 6th October, tickets must be booked in advance.
We have now moved to an entirely online booking system for House and Garden visits so that we can safely manage the capacity of visitors. This ensures social distancing measures can be maintained and we can monitor and manage numbers to ensure public safety.
Please be aware it is now mandatory for face coverings to be worn by visitors to the House. Our usual visitor route through the House will also be slightly different, The Small Drawing Room and The Armoured Corridor are not open for visitors to enter but are accessible for viewing.
When booking for your visit, please select your time of arrival using the half hourly options. The time on your ticket is your entry time to the House. We suggest you arrive at least 40 minutes prior to your chosen entry time or you may arrive earlier to visit the Gardens beforehand. You are also welcome to stay in the Gardens until they close at 5pm.
We are operating a shuttle buggy service between the admissions Garden gate and Sandringham House. This has also been adapted to ensure adherence to social distancing guidance.
The toilets will be open, a short walk from the House in the small courtyard where we will also have a kiosk available selling hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice cream.
Your visit to the House will be slightly different to usual, here's what to expect...
For each timed entry, tickets are limited to manage capacity and social distancing measures will be in place.
We'll greet you by the front door so please arrive promptly at your chosen entry time, we will be unable to amend your time should you miss it.
Hand sanitiser will be provided on your way in and on your way out.
Multimedia audio guides will accompany you through the House instead of a tour by a member of staff.
You may wish to bring your own headphones to use with the Multimedia guides although we have a plentiful supply of sterile units for you to use if this is not possible.
If you have Sandringham membership, Garden visits must still be pre-booked using a unique code. Please e-mail for details.

Wednesday 9th and 30th September 2pm
We are excited to now offer an exclusive tour of the Garden and a chance to meet the Head Gardener in the Potting Shed. Learn simple plant propagation techniques and be given advice on how to collect seed and cutting material.

The Sandringham Gift Shop is now open daily from 10am-5pm, with a maximum of 10 people in the shop at any one time.

The toilets are being cleaned frequently and our picnic tables have been removed as per the latest guidelines.
