Following the latest Government announcement of a national lockdown the following information now applies when visiting Sandringham.

Sandringham Country Park and toilets remain open in order to give those living in the local area an opportunity to exercise in the fresh air, however we ask that all visitors who are not within the local Norfolk area to adhere to the latest restrictions and please not to visit Sandringham at this time.

  • Do not visit if a member of your household has had any Covid-19 symptoms in the last 14 days

  • Please bring a face covering with you. Coverings must be worn indoor settings including toilets (unless you are exempt)

  • Hand sanitiser stations are available for use near car parking stations and outside toilets however if you are able to, we ask you please bring your own hand sanitiser.

  • Our Shop, Cafe (including takeaway) and Children's Play Area remain closed.

In light of the recent Government announcements moving into a national lockdown, details below are the latest guidance when visiting Sandringham.

Country Park and Car Parks

The Country Park remains open for exercise, however we ask that all visitors who are not within the Norfolk area adhere to the latest restrictions of lockdown and please not to visit Sandringham at this time.

Sandringham Car Parks are open daily from 6am - 9pm with car parking charges in place. In addition toilet facilities at the visitor centre are open daily from 9am - 4.30pm. For further information on car parking charges please see Car Park Information.


The Sandringham Shop and Terrace Cafe are closed until further notice. The toilets at the Visitor Centre remain open and are cleaned frequently as per the guidelines and sanitising stations are in place.

Online Shop

Sandringham online shop is available for delivery only, offering a range of Estate produce, gifts and homeware. Please note click and collect is not available at this time.

Children's Play Area

The Children's play area is now closed until further notice for scheduled improvement works.

House and Gardens

The House and formal Gardens at Sandringham are now closed for the Winter season and will reopen (Covid-19 restrictions allowing) in 2021.

What are you doing to keep visitors and staff safe?

A sanitising station is located at the Visitor Centre and we have introduced additional cleaning to our already comprehensive routines, with particular focus on surfaces that are touched regularly, such as door handles, hand rails, and toilets. The toilets are being cleaned frequently and our picnic tables have been removed as per the latest guidelines.

Our staff may look a little different as they are wearing appropriate PPE.
